Learning to speak like a Brit

Well, hello. How is everyone? Well, I am currently just chilling at the base, jut ate dinner an hour ago, lasagna, mmm…… Well, I have the crappiest british accent ever, BUT, I’m trying to get it down a little bit.

Lets see, I flew to London where I had a 7 hour layover, so, I went into the city to Piccadily Circle. Went into the asian part which was cool and found this building that was 4 stories of just video games, bowling, air hockey. It was insane. The pop bottles there and in South Africa are about half the size of the ones in the US.

I flew from London to Johanasburg, South Africa. The food was amazing! Had lamb with white rice, cheese and crackers, salad with a dressing that had red potatoes in it, a piece of chocoalate and a cake that was sorta like tiramasu but it was a strawberry flavor. I then flew to Livingstone, Zambia, my final destination. We were at the airport for over an hour waiting in line to get our visas and filling out paper work to get our bags that didn’t get there. My bag with my books and gear came but my clothes bag is MIA. O well.

Meeting everyone these last 2 days has been cool. I like everyone here :) We played some keep away with the soccer ball and I was doing this awesome move and ripped my pants! I guess I was more attempting to do the move haha. But luckily I have my sweat pants.

This morning we all shared our testimonies and Jeff Martin and Dan spoke to us. It was really rad. Its so nice here on the base. Tomorrow we pack our bags and load up the truck for our first expedition. We will be leaving noon Sunday to go to a village just north of Zimba. We will be doing some help with building a chicken coop, making food with the local women, and ministering to them. I’m so happy that I’ve already had my eyes opened to things that have come from God. God is just, I guess the only real thing I can say right now is that I am in awe of His glory. I look at the view out back and just think “How can something this beautiful and amazing just have been created by chance?” It wasn’t! Our God creates beautiful and wonderous things! I love it here. My full focus is on my Father and I wish to share what I know and will know with those who don’t no.

Well, if you could pray for JJ, Rebecca, and me to have our bags arrive soon and safely we would very much appreciate it. I love you all and want you to know that this is only day two of what is going to be one amazing summer.
